‘Saudi NRI says he wont take salary, catches attention of all during his debut in HP assembly’

DHARAMSHALA: After defeating the BJP stalwart Gulab Singh Thakur, father-in-law of BJP MP Anurag Thakur (elder son of PK Dhumal), from Jogindernagar constituency – Parkash Rana caught the attention of everyone while making his debut as legislature in Himachal assembly to participate in winter-session which started on Tuesday here.
He arrived in his Mercedes – 350 D, which costs around 90 lakh rupees, with a chauffeur clad in stark white dress catching the attention of everyone in complex.
Parkash Rana (54) while talking to TOI told that he was feeling proud to enter in Vidhan-Sabha for the first time in his life.
Rana said that he will not keep his salary or remunerations with him which he will get as a legislature of state assembly. “I would spend my all salary for the welfare of the people of my constituency” he said adding that it was his father’s dream which has come true.
When asked about his vision for his area, he said that he wants to do a lot many things but he wants to learn the procedure first about the working of the system.
“I have a lot many ambitions for my people and area. I was working for them from last many years. I have see whether system helps as a booster for my works or not” he said.
Chattur Singh, the chauffer with Rana was also very happy to drive in at Himachal assembly complex. “I am with my boss from last 21 years and use to travel with him wherever he goes. This is for the first time that we have arrived at Vidhan-Sabha in our life” he said.
People, particularly the keen seekers to know about this MLA, were seen gathering with the Chauffer and were asking about Parkash Rana.
